Press Release Body: San Jose, CA - June 1, 2008 - Atlona Technologies releases two
new products to convert between HD-SD/SDI and HDMI, DVI, Component (YPbPr),
Composite, and VGA (RGBHV). This may sound like alphabet soup, but it is actually a
description of a powerful device designed to convert from the professional broadcast
format of SDI in standard and digital, to any of the more common formats for
commercial and consumer Audio Video systems or vice versa. The AT-HDSDI-AV is
designed to take in any SDTV or HDTV resolution from an SDI source, and convert to
analog formats such as Composite, VGA, or Component or Digital formats such as DVI
and HDMI. It also acts as a 1x2 SDI amplifier, allowing up to two direct loop outs.
This external hardware based solution allows pro\'s to convert feeds directly from
high end cameras and other SDI sources, for real time monitoring or display, with
out being processed though expensive software based video interfaces. Transversely,
the AT-AV-HDSDI is designed to take any commercial or consumer level video
connection at any resolution, and output either SD/SDI or HD/SDI. This unit features
three SDI outputs, allowing users to split their converted signal to three SD-HD/SDI
displays. This device allows for Instant integration of legacy devices into
professional broadcast level AV systems, with out the need of extensive pre-editing
and conversion to match existing SDI systems.
